Vintage Penny Candy Bag

$15.00

Years ago, the building that is now the 1780 House was occupied by The Country Store. Known and loved for its assortment of penny candy, many people still affectionately refer to what is now the 1780 House as "the penny candy store." The penny candy has been brought back to Concord through these assorted candy bags.

Based off the candy that was originally in The Country Store, as listed in the New York Times article, “Where Penny Candy Share the Limelight” from February 27, 1983, these bags include an assortment of individually wrapped candies. At 1780 House, our hope is that these bags of candy connect some people to their nostalgic childhood memories, while building new ones for the next generation.
